Tax Planning

We work with our clients and their advisors to identify the tax planning requirements of their proposed structure.

We can assist our clients with the following:

• Identifying a tax efficient structure for their specific requirements
• Identifying the need to obtain formal tax advice and procuring this service from reputable tax advisors; either local tax advisory firms or top 4 firms
• Obtaining a tax ruling when the proposed structure has ambiguous tax considerations that require clarifications before the structure is implemented
• Collaborating closely with the client’s tax advisors to implement the tax advice
• Ensuring the ongoing administration of the company is in line with the tax advice

Due Diligence

Our Know-Your-Client (KYC) policy aims to provide us with a clear insight on our clients and their service requirements. At the Aspen Trust Group we undergo the due diligence process with our clients in a smooth and timely manner.

We require the following information for our due diligence process:

• An understanding on the source of funds for the proposed business operations
• Certified passport copies, recent utility bills and bank / professional reference letters on individuals involved in  the client’s structure
• Certified corporate documents (e.g. certificates / registers of directors, shareholders, secretary) on all corporate entities involved in the client’s structure

Client Engagement

We have a comprehensive set of documents for our client engagement process to identify the specific service requirements of each of our clients in order to commence our professional engagement for corporate services.

We strive to walk our clients through each step of our client engagement process providing guidelines and any clarifications on our forms and agreements to ensure these are finalised promptly.
